Summertime in the city!

We have been having a great summer so far! Here are some photos and short stories about what’s been going on...

Me on Daddy’s shoulders; you can see I am a bit more thrilled then he is!
Mum wanted to show off my monkey-style-climbing skillz...
Got myself up with no help!
Sometimes, when Harvey is restless before supper, Mum will take him for a walk around the neighbourhood. He loves to explore sans stroller... and sometimes he even tries to chase big trucks as they drive by... it is pretty funny.
Post-camp treat!
This is me on my way to my friend’s birthday party in a taxi. Mum thought the light in this shot was pretty neat.
After the birthday party, we walked with Samara to the train, and Mummy made us take this photo. I was feeling a little cheeky, as you can see!
Finally dusted the old bike off! I still got it!
This was by far one of the hottest days of the year. 40º or something crazy like that! We discovered a cool park called ‘Twenty-Four Sycamores Park’, click on the name to find out more about this delightful little spot.

This park has a great sprinkler that we all like (Mum even goes into it), and it has a great water fountain that is perfect for filling water balloons.

I was not expecting this photo...
Harvey really likes his watering can (take note, Baba and Gido! Future gardening helper!).
Yes, water balloons.
There is a lot of filling and emptying of the water buckets.
The reason for this BIG smile...
...is that Mum caught Harvey trying to drink out of the bucket, and when she yelled ‘Harvey!’ he thought it was pretty funny that he got away with it!

This is just one of Dad's super cool NY shots.

We saved the best for last... Lasker Pool! First of all, there have already been a lot of heat waves this summer, and we did venture to a pool during one of them. It worked out okay, but included a LONG wait (90 minutes in 35º heat!). On a non-heat wave day (hellooo? it is still 29º!) we headed to Lasker Pool in Central Park. First of all it’s free. Second, it is in Central Park — so it’s really neat to be surrounded by nature and city all at once!
We all had a great time, and hope we make it back before summer’s end!
